In 2001, Barbara Hill founded Bridal Artistry, an on-location makeup and hair styling service for brides in the greater Washington DC area, the same year I moved there from Kansas City.  I met Barbara shortly thereafter and have had the pleasure of working with her since.  In over a decade Bridal Artistry has grown with many more professional makeup artists & hairstylists who have partnered with Barbara to become the DC area's premier team for weddings & special events.  I have since moved back to Kansas City and am pleased to bring you Bridal Artistry Kansas City.  We look forward to sharing our experience of beautiful results through our talented on-site makeup & hair styling team so you have nothing but exceptional memories.

lisa Hoskins

Lisa is the owner & lead makeup artist for Bridal Artistry Kansas City with 20+ years of experience in the beauty industry.  She got her start as a makeup artist working for top retailers & different leading cosmetic lines, then transitioned to freelance work as an original team member with Barbara Hill for Bridal Artistry DC.  She has done makeup for weddings, photo shoots, television appearances, print publications & other special events in Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, and Kansas City.

ANDREA VARGAS

Andrea is a licensed cosmetologist, certified makeup artist, and certified lash technician. She has been in the Kansas City beauty industry for 5 years and has done work for multiple photographers, fashion shows, music videos, business events and bridal parties. Since she was a child she has had an admiration for makeup and its power in transforming how one looks and feels about themselves when wearing it. Little did she know she had an amazing talent for beauty. She continues in her pursuit of excellence for her craft through on-going education classes and regular trainings to perfect hair coloring/styling and makeup techniques which are reflected in the excellent quality of her work. Her goal with Bridal Artistry is to make you feel and look your best on your most important day.

JOURDAN HENDERSON

Jourdan is a passionate makeup artist who has experience working with various musicians, models, designers and photographers. She discovered her love for makeup at a young age which prompted her to take professional courses learning various makeup styles & application techniques. Today she is pursuing her estheticians license in hopes of expanding her service offerings to waxing, facials and other more advanced skin treatments. Her work most recently, has been featured on multiple fashion show runways throughout Kansas City and her mission with Bridal Artistry is to make everyone feel special & beautiful by accentuating their natural features.

Alexandria BLACK

Alexandria is a highly dedicated, skilled makeup artist & hair stylist with 10+ years of experience, and certified spray tan technician. She has worked with hundreds of models, photographers, artists, bridal parties, and events. Alexandria got her start as a volunteer in the makeup & hair department for a national television show, where she later accepted a paid position. Since then, she has worked for top beauty brands, mastering her skills and staying current on the latest trends. Alexandria has also had the honor of being the Head Makeup Artist for the largest runway show in the Midwest. The bridal industry has been her main focus the past 4 years and working with brides & their families has been so fulfilling. Leaving a legacy of great work and kindness is of the utmost importance to her. 

Mandy andrus

After 9 years in HR, Mandy left corporate America to pursue her childhood dream in the beauty industry. She graduated top in her class at The Paul Mitchell School in Jacksonville and she worked behind the chair for 6 years. In 2022, she realized her excitement and anticipation when wedding, prom, homecoming season came around and decided to fully devote her time and education into bridal and event hairstyling as well as soft glam makeup. Mandy is passionate and honored to be apart of someone’s special day, event, or photoshoot. Her goal is to make the bride and bridal party feel special, honored , and beautiful on their special day.  Mandy is friendly, professional, and anticipates working with you!
